Terms

Clear rules, like our labels.

This is what you can expect from beoriginal.id — and what we expect from anyone using it. No hidden fine print.

Last updated: July 3, 2026

The service

beoriginal.id verifies dual-QR labels: the visible QR recognizes the product; the hidden QR is single-use and confirms the first opening. If either code shows up again after being consumed, the system raises an alert.

Every verdict reflects the state of that code in our database at the exact moment of the scan.

What a verdict means (and what it doesn't)

The verdict is an information tool. “Original” means the code matches our database and its state is valid; “Alert” means that pair of codes was already used or shows signs of reuse.

The verdict doesn't replace your judgment and is not a guarantee about the product's contents — that guarantee belongs to the brand. If something looks suspicious, don't consume it and report it to the seller and the brand.

The link checker

We run every link through our own safety filters and Google Web Risk, and we warn you about danger signals. Even so, we can't guarantee 100%: opening an external link is always your decision and your responsibility.

Acceptable use

By using beoriginal.id you agree NOT to:

  • attempt to guess, enumerate or generate label codes,
  • attack, overload or interfere with the service,
  • reuse, clone or tamper with BeOriginal labels,
  • use the platform to commit or facilitate fraud.

We reserve the right to block access in case of abuse. Full detail is on the Acceptable Use page.

Brand accounts

Brands are responsible for their credentials and for how their staff uses the panel. Their product data belongs to them; we operate it to provide the service.

Intellectual property

BeOriginal® and its correlated dual-QR verification technology are protected (patent pending). The labels, the software and this platform belong to BeOriginal. Each product's content (name, images, story) belongs to its brand. Full detail, including how to report a counterfeit label or QR, is on the Intellectual Property page.

Availability and liability

The service is provided “as is”. We do everything reasonable to keep it available and accurate, but we are not liable for indirect damages arising from its use or unavailability. Our liability is limited to what the law allows.

Where we don't offer the service (yet)

beoriginal.id is not directed to, and we do not actively offer it to, individuals or brands in mainland China at this time. If you access or use the site from there, you do so on your own initiative and are responsible for complying with your country's laws — we don't consider ourselves to be offering the service there.

This scope may expand or narrow over time. If you represent a brand outside Mexico and aren't sure whether we operate in your country, write to us before integrating the service.

Governing law

These terms are governed by the laws of Mexico. Personal-data handling is described on the Privacy page.
